(in press), (in press), 2025, Not refereed, Single Work, This paper reviews the progress of victim support systems and legal frameworks from 2000 to 2024 and examines the challenges faced. In particular, it discusses the enhancement of support measures based on the Basic Act on Crime Victims and amendments to the Penal Code, the establishment of the Sexual Crime Prevention Act, and the neuroscientific advancements in trauma care. On the other hand, in the field of clinical psychology, there are concerns regarding the delay in fundamental understanding and education related to victim support. Appropriate responses tailored to the individuality of victims and the prevention of secondary victimization require interdisciplinary collaboration. This paper clarifies the role of psychology and advocates for the necessity of a comprehensive support system.
